Privacy Policy
NoLog's privacy promise
NoLog is designed for private AI chat without accounts, ads, analytics, or server-side chat history. Your chat history is stored only on this device unless you turn local history off or delete it.
Information you provide
When you send a message, the prompt and recent chat context needed to answer it are transmitted through NoLog's backend proxy to our inference provider. This content is processed in memory to generate the response and is not saved by NoLog as a chat transcript.
Local data on your device
Chats, generated thinking text, attached image/file data, extracted text from supported files, settings, and passcode lock state are stored locally on your device. Local chat storage is encrypted with SQLCipher. Passcodes are stored only as salted verifiers protected by Android Keystore. If local history is turned off, chats and attachments are kept only for the current in-memory session.
Backend data we store
NoLog stores limited operational and entitlement metadata: a hashed install identifier, subscription status, free/paid usage counters, request rate-limit timestamps, token estimates, request status, latency, and reset times. We do not store prompt text, response text, attached files/images, generated thinking text, or chat titles on our servers.
Inference provider
NoLog currently uses a zero-retention inference provider to generate replies. Prompt and response content is sent only for the purpose of producing the requested answer. Provider details may change server-side to maintain quality, cost, reliability, or privacy protections.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Google Play. NoLog receives purchase tokens and subscription status from Google Play so we can verify access. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
What we do not do
NoLog does not sell your data, run advertising SDKs, include analytics SDKs, build user profiles, or use your chats to train models.
Security and deletion
You can delete individual chats, clear all chats, or delete local app data from Settings. Deleting local app data clears chats, settings, passcode verifier data, and local encryption material from this device.
